Hello, my name is Amanda Johnson, and I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with several years of nursing experience across medical-surgical, chemical dependency, and psychiatric care settings. My approach is grounded in compassionate, evidenced-based care that recognizes each person as an individual - not a diagnosis. Within my practice, I strive to create a collaborative, supportive environment where patients feel heard, understood and empowered to take an active role in their care.

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I've worked in the mental health field for more than 15 years, in acute inpatient psychiatric care and as a psychiatric liaison consultant, primarily in the emergency room setting with a focus on crisis intervention. Much of my earlier work focused on psychiatric assessment, crisis intervention, and helping individuals and families navigate some of their most difficult moments.
Today, I provide psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and therapy for individuals experiencing a range of mental health concerns. I believe good mental health care begins with feeling heard, respected, and understood. I strive to create a warm, judgment-free environment where you can be honest about what you are experiencing and what you would like to change.
