Find a psychiatrist in New York — covered by insurance

Top psychiatrists in New York accepting new patients
I am doctorally-prepared, NYU-trained and ANCC board certified. My focuses are anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, trauma, insomnia and OCD.
I know that walking into a psychiatrist's office or even logging onto a video call can feel really overwhelming. Maybe you’ve been putting this off for months (or years). Maybe you’re not even sure if you 'need' medication, or you're worried about side effects. Whatever brought you here, I want you to know you are not a diagnosis to me. You are a person.
By training, I am dually board-certified as both a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. In plain English? That means I look at all of you not just your anxiety or your ADHD, but also your sleep, your stress levels, your blood work, your hormones, and what's going on in your everyday life. Because the truth is, our brains don't exist in a vacuum. Sometimes what feels like 'all in your head' actually starts in your thyroid, your gut, or your heart. I'm trained to catch those connections.
I don't believe in rushing you out the door with a prescription pad. I believe in listening first. We will figure this out together, at your pace. Whether that means trying medication, adjusting your routines, or just having a safe space to be brutally honest about how you're really doing I am here to walk alongside you, not talk down to you.
My goal isn't to 'fix' you (because you aren't broken). It's to help you feel like yourself again—clearer, calmer, and more in control. I would be honored to be part of your journey.
I believe in a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care. When working with patients, I start by listening carefully to their concerns and goals. Together, we will create a treatment plan that may include therapy, medication, or lifestyle strategies tailored to individual needs. I emphasize open communication, respect, and education so patients feel informed and empowered in their mental health journey.
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience treating adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and mood disorders. I work especially well with high-functioning professionals and women facing life transitions, burnout, or generational patterns. My background includes leadership and program development, and I bring both clinical expertise and real-world understanding into my work.
I am a board-certified psychiatrist committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based, and person‐centered care to individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges. My training includes a general psychiatry residency in New Jersey and an advanced Addiction Psychiatry/NIDA‐T32 Research Fellowship at Columbia University in New York City, where I received specialized experience in the treatment of substance use disorders, comorbidity, and academic research.
Board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) Specializes in comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and evidence-based psychotherapy for patients across the lifespan.
