Hello and welcome. My name is Amarilys (Ama) Reyes, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). My professional journey began with a deep passion for understanding resilience and healing, shaped by my background in social work, education, and my advanced training in Marriage and Family Therapy. Over the years, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families, supporting clients through challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment wounds, and relational struggles. My experience includes working with diverse communities, including immigrant families, women and young people navigating significant life transitions.
I have been an alcohol and drug counselor for over 20 years and a therapist for almost 10. I love assisting people with all mental health needs including anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic illness, parenting and also those that just need some to talk to.
We all carry a unique story, and part of my role is to help uncover the threads of your past in order to create new, meaningful chapters. I believe in addressing the whole person – not just the symptoms – by considering your physical, emotional, and mental health as interconnected. Together, we’ll explore the tools and coping mechanisms that work best for you, while also reflecting on the deeper patterns that may be at play. I approach our work together with curiosity, compassion, and respect for your experiences. Therapy is not about me giving you answers- it's a collaborative process of understanding, growth, and change.
