Hello there, I’m Kyrzia Parker (she/her), MSW, LCSW, CDWF and I hold a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Denver. I am also EMDR trained. I have worked with a variety of clients who have struggled with ongoing mental health concerns and specializes with those currently struggling with shame, anxiety, trauma and depression.
I wound up being a counselor after many years of me-search and research. I traveled internationally, worked for a church, went through my own bouts of trauma and started nerding out on trauma to figure out what the heck was happening to my body. I wanted to make sense of why my body was responding the way it was, and fell in love with researching trauma and responses. I also had an amazing counselor who met me where I was and showed me that emotions do matter and helped me feel safe in them. This all led me back to school to get my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Now, I love my job. I love advocating for people and meeting them where they are. I love implementing my own knowledge and education to help people understand their responses to make sense of them. I also love helping others figure out how to do life well by implementing boundaries, healthy communication and fun. I love working with women and teens.
Hello, My name is Rey and I have been practicing in the field of social work for 10 years. It is my goal to help people on their journey of healing with compassion and grace.
My name is Corey Tolliver, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked with various populations and have a diverse background including people with trauma, crisis, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship problems, and fatherhood.
My introduction to helping people and psychology both came about, as a result of following my mom’s example and the Bob Newhart Show. My mother was a natural people person with a keen interest and background in psychology. My take-away from the Bob Newhart Show drove home the needs for humor and light-heartedness as well as a genuine love for what you do. I believe that those qualities: love for people and my passion and seeing the humor in things truly define me, both as a therapist and a person. My academic journey led me to both bachelors and masters degrees from The University of Northern Colorado and included intensive training in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Hypnotherapy during my sabbatical in between my degrees. With a strong theoretical base supporting me, I moved forward and was able to blend my education with twenty years of real-world experience. I went on and diversified my experience as I worked in community counseling, community corrections, Inpatient psychiatric hospitals, and private practice. Although our learning never ceases, I feel very comfortable and sincere in offering clients my wealth of experience, knowledge of human behavior, and most of all, a kind ear.
