I am currently accepting new clients. I’m so glad you’re here. Taking the step to reach out is often the hardest part, so congratulations on being here. I especially love supporting women navigating anxiety, depression, big life changes, postpartum, and the ups and downs of motherhood. After 15 years in this field, I know how much lighter life can feel with the right support, and I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
My name is Shannon Hansen, MS, LMFT. I work with adult individuals, couples, and a variety of relational dynamics, offering a warm, compassionate yet unconventional therapy environment. In addition to teletherapy, I offer equine assisted psychotherapy and nature-based therapy for those who are wanting a more engaging therapeutic experience. I love offering a safe space to metaphorically, and literally, get messy in the deep dive of gaining a better understanding of the human experience. With the support of myself, the animals, and many other beings of the natural world, together we will dive in and emerge with the resources and understanding that will help you thrive in life and relationships.
From the moment we begin working together, my goal is to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can safely explore life's challenges, build self-awareness, and move toward meaningful change at your own pace. With nearly a decade of experience in the mental health field, I work with adults of all ages navigating anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, and the impacts of addiction. There is a particular place in my heart for emerging adults as they find their footing through identity development, relationships, career pressures, and the significant changes that come with early adulthood.
Earning my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University and my LPC credential brought me to outpatient therapy in the Boulder area, where I offer individual counseling to adults building a fulfilling life. At the heart of this work is a belief in the resilience of the human spirit. I'm here to walk alongside you with care.
