I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and EMDR-trained therapist who works with adults navigating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, OCD, depression, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and challenges related to identity and self-worth. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and practical, with a focus on helping clients better understand their emotions, recognize patterns that keep them feeling stuck, and develop healthier ways of responding to difficult thoughts and experiences.
As a U.S. Army veteran and former Army behavioral health professional, I have a particular interest in working with veterans, service members, first responders, and individuals who have experienced high-stress environments. As a Mandarin-speaking Asian American therapist, I am especially interested in supporting Asian and Asian American clients navigating cultural expectations, family dynamics, intergenerational differences, identity, perfectionism, emotional expression, and the pressure to meet high personal or family standards.
My clinical background includes work in hospital-based behavioral health, intensive outpatient treatment, severe and persistent mental illness, substance use treatment, crisis assessment, and military behavioral health. I believe therapy should be a space where you can be honest, curious, and human. My goal is not simply to reduce symptoms, but to help you better understand yourself, build greater emotional flexibility, process difficult experiences, and create meaningful changes that extend beyond the therapy room.
Do you find yourself constantly thinking, analyzing, or trying to make sense of everything? Maybe you replay conversations, anticipate every possible outcome, or search for the "right" answer before making a decision. You may understand yourself well on an intellectual level, yet still feel anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected. I provide therapy for teens, young adults, adults, and educators—including teachers, school counselors, and other school staff—who are navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, relationship challenges, difficult experiences, or simply feeling overwhelmed by the demands of daily life.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Colorado with a lifelong passion for teaching and healing. My own journey through trauma and growth deepened my calling to support others. I work with individuals and couples from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences. Alongside my professional growth, I’ve continued my own journey of authenticity and self-love — deepening my understanding of what true healing requires. This led me to create Heartfelt Holistic Healing, a practice that looks beyond symptoms to the root of what’s really going on. Together, we move toward lasting, meaningful healing from the inside out.
I have worked in the mental health field since 2001 and am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC). While I have extensive training and experience with adolescents and young adults, I also enjoy working with adults, families, and couples. I am trained in EMDR, an evidence-based trauma therapy, along with other trauma related techniques which I incorporate in my counseling work when indicated. I am also a skilled trainer in Motivational Interviewing, adolescent development, developmental trauma, and suicide prevention. In addition, I regularly utilize CBT and DBT skills and interventions as necessary in counseling sessions.
Regarding my philosophy of counseling, Glennon Melton, an author I admire, sums it up best: she describes life as “brutiful.” Brutiful blends the two words, “Beautiful” & “Brutal”, which sums up how we often experience our journeys in life. Life has its beautiful moments, it also has some difficult, hard times. When life feels painful and you need someone to talk to, I am someone who can provide a safe place to feel supported & heard. My goal is to provide a place for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and values in order to better understand yourself. Additionally, I work with you to learn and strengthen healthy coping strategies so the unhealthy ones are less appealing.
My clinical experience and training involves helping those with depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, mood instability, anger, conflict, behavior/legal struggles, grief and loss, life transitions such as divorce, and adjustment issues.
I am a licensed marriage and family counselor in Colorado. I have a bachelor's degree in Communication, a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I believe that most relationship struggles can be solved and am honored to guide my clients to resolution and peace in their relationships.
