Top therapists in Colorado accepting new patients
Hello,
I'm glad you're here and seeking to create change in your life. I have been helping individuals and couples for 18 years as a Licensed Therapist and I love when the healing starts to make changes in people's lives. Therapy can be scary with fears of being judged over your thoughts and feelings. Those thoughts and feelings that helped in the past may not serve you anymore, may be causing distress and you may seek to change them. I offer a judgement free environment where you can explore new ideas, thoughts and feelings along your journey. I offer a warm and accepting environment where change can occur with laughter included for free. And I offer a place to learn to love and value yourself independent of other's views.
I am a holistic therapist who believes meaningful healing happens through authentic connection, self-awareness, and a compassionate understanding of the experiences that shape us. I was born and raised in Colorado and received my undergraduate education from California State University and Masters of Science from National University in 2019. I bring a trauma-informed, relational, and integrative approach to my work with clients. I specialize in supporting adults navigating childhood trauma and attachment wounds, grief, life transitions, and the process of reconnecting with themselves. My practice also includes specialized support for psychedelic preparation and integration and Colorado’s emerging natural medicine landscape, when appropriate and within my scope of practice. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, curious enough to explore, and supported as you move toward a life that feels more authentically your own.
I have been practicing therapy for 10 years with passion for working with individuals. My specialties are trauma, grief, anxiety, depression and working with addictions. I am EMDR trained and currently working on my addictions license. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Metro St. University of Denver in 2011 and my Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology from Evangel University in 2013.
My name is Stefanie Lowy, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Colorado. I earned my undergraduate degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, where I majored in Human Development and Family Studies and minored in Psychology. After graduating, I spent two years working as a preschool teacher, which deepened my passion for supporting children and families.
I went on to receive my Master of Social Work from Erikson Institute in Chicago, where I further developed my clinical skills and commitment to working with young people. I am currently a high school social worker in Denver, and I truly love the work I do with adolescents.
I have experience working with clients ranging in age from 3 to 30, and I value the diversity each individual brings to the therapeutic process. I am passionate about creating a supportive, empathetic space where clients feel understood, empowered, and able to grow.
You’re here because something in your life feels heavy, confusing, or just off. Maybe you’ve been strong for everyone else for years and you’re finally wondering, “Who’s taking care of me?” Maybe you’re in a season where you feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns you can’t seem to break. You might look fine on the outside—but inside, you’re tired, disconnected, or longing for a real change.
I get it. Most of the client's I work with feel exactly that way before they reach out. They’re smart, capable, and resilient... but they’re also carrying a lot. Life transitions, relationships, trauma, people-pleasing, burnout, old coping habits—they add up. I help my clients' slow down, and understand what’s driving them.
I'm a gentle and insightful therapist with an approach that is effective, impacting, and can help you bring about change and transformation in your life and relationships

I've worked with a multitude of diagnosis and in many practice settings. My current focuses are addictions, anxiety, depression, chronic illnesses, trauma, and eating disorders. Really, I am here to create a space to help you learn how to navigate life a little softer.
