Linda Ford, LCSW-R clinical social worker, a MSW graduate of Fordham University School of Social Sciences. 30 + years of experience in the field of addition, providing treatment to those suffering from the ills of addiction, depression, anxiety, and trauma. Working in various settings, has allowed me to be very resourceful. My philosophy is "No problem is too difficult to solve".
I encourage others to see themselves as more than their problem,
It's very nice to meet you. I am a psychologist with around twenty years of experience working in schools, hospitals, and community mental health.
Those who seek my support are often grappling with challenging relationships, feeling stuck in unconscious patterns, or navigating the complexities of loss, pain, or shame.
My work is grounded in psychoanalysis, existential therapy, IFS, and liberation psychology.
I also specialize in neurodevelopmental assessment and have expertise in autism testing.
PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING, thank you. I am a board-certified Psychiatrist (medical doctor) providing virtual care throughout NY and PA. I taper medications. This means my patients want to reduce or stop psychiatric medications, and I guide them through that process at a safe pace. My 30-minute follow-up sessions include supportive counsel, though I do not offer weekly one-hour therapy. Many of my patients also work with a therapist. My understanding of suffering and hope is rooted in a Christ-centered faith, which shapes the wisdom and care I bring to my work.
I work with client's in their 20's and 30's struggling with setting boundaries and low self esteem. I also treat anxiety and depression as my speciality.
Welcome! I am a mother, former school social worker, reiki master, artist, and an empath with almost a decade of clinical experience. I help anxious people transform their lives, empower themselves, and gain unstoppable confidence. I specialize in helping you navigate big life transitions, whether that be in school, relationships, career, new parenthood, or simply wanting clarity on what your next move is. You've come to the right place.
With 30 years of experience working with people of all cultures and backgrounds, I believe that learning more about oneself is a gift for our inner health. Therapy can be an important resource for clarifying concerns and formulating strategies which could lead to positive choices. My approach is open, non-judgmental and interactive. Therapy does not need to be a long term process but can be an effective tool for developing better coping mechanisms. I have experience working with children and adolescents; and adults.
Many people come to therapy because they feel stuck, overwhelmed, or caught in patterns they don't fully understand. My approach goes beyond addressing symptoms—I support clients understand the root beneath their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we'll explore the experiences, beliefs, relationships, and life events that have shaped the way you see yourself and the world.
Many people reaching out to me have been looking for the same thing: someone who can see the full picture. I am Catherine, a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, and offer something rare: both medication management and therapy with a single provider. After 20 years in healthcare, including a decade as a family NP, I came to psychiatric care because I saw how inseparable mental and physical health are. My goal is that every appointment leaves you feeling heard, supported, and cared for.
I have over twenty years of experience with anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship issues and parenting, among other issues. In particular, I have worked with loneliness, burnout, social anxiety, and self esteem.
My education is from Binghamton University, Boston College, and Northeastern University. Fully licensed in NY and MA, I have additional specialized training in trauma informed care, DBT, grief, and anxiety.
I work with individuals and groups to transform self-understanding into happier, more productive living. My practice is dedicated to helping clients navigate and heal from chronic stress, anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, complex trauma, and significant life transitions.
My unique offering combines the depth of psychotherapy to uncover underlying emotional and behavioral patterns with the strategic focus of coaching to accelerate goal achievement. This dual approach helps you identify the barriers that prevent success and develop practical, sustainable strategies to overcome them.
My background spans from working in psychiatric hospital settings to guiding high-functioning clients in private practice. I am committed to advancing professional education, having presented at leading universities like Columbia University, NYU, and Brooklyn College, and conducting specialized trauma and wellness workshops for professionals.
I believe in empowering my clients by fostering self-compassion and reclaiming personal agency. If you are looking for a tailored approach that respects your story, I invite you to reach out for a consultation.
