Top therapists in New York accepting new patients

I work with people facing anxiety and depression at some of life’s most demanding passages. New and expecting mothers figuring out who they are now that everything has changed. People sitting with a diagnosis that has upended their lives. Caregivers who have quietly lost themselves in someone else’s needs. People grieving. Adults deciding what comes next. Anyone in the middle of something hard that doesn’t have an easy name.
Before private practice, I worked at Mount Sinai Hospital supporting transplant, ICU, and acute rehabilitation patients and families. Lives changed overnight, and I learned to stay steady with fear, uncertainty, and loss. I received my MSW from NYU, hold a Designation in Palliative Care from the Center to Advance Palliative Care, and am completing the perinatal mental health certificate course through Postpartum Support International.
I am straightforward and curious, and I pay attention to both what’s said and what isn’t. I am also a mother, a daughter, a wife, and someone who has sat with grief and change in my own life. I see adults by telehealth anywhere in New York State.
Hello! I’m Jessica, a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner dedicated to helping clients navigate their mental health journey. With a comprehensive background in mental health and family practice, I specialize in treating conditions like depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, insomnia, and life transitions.
My name is Maureen and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York State for fifteen years. I graduated from Columbia University's School of Social Work in 2005 with a concentration in clinical services. My work experience includes working in New York City to Syracuse, NY to rural Central New York in a variety of environments. Currently, I am the Deputy Director for a rural mental health clinic in Central New York.
If you have been carrying anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or the weight of a life in
transition, you do not have to keep doing it alone. I'm Jennifer, a licensed clinical social
worker with a background in mental health, crisis, and substance use settings. I am trauma-
informed and trained in Progressive Counting, a focused evidence-based approach for
working through difficult experiences. My goal is to offer a genuinely supportive,
nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward.
If that sounds like what you are looking for, I would love to connect.
For 11 years, I have sat with people at some of the hardest moments of their lives, from
medical crises to the quieter weight of anxiety, depression, and relationship strain. I bring a
collaborative, nonjudgmental presence because the best work happens when you feel
genuinely heard. If you are ready to start, I would love to meet you.
I went to Stony Brook University for my Masters in Social Work and my Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Adelphi University. I have done two post graduate certification programs. One in substance use and another in trauma informed care.
I believe that it is important for every client to understand their story deeper and what their values, beliefs, and core language is like and how impacts there well-being. I believe in the mind-body connection.
Hello I am Jenn, I have a graduate degree from The College of St Rose in Albany, and NYS licensed Master CASAC. I am most proud of the well seasoned life experience that comes with being a Gen X.
Clients can expect authenticity, an open mind, and an understanding space to explore traumatic and challenging belief systems (that no longer work), emotional dysregulation, coping skills, communication skills (boundary setting, healthy communication, self care), and future focused guidance and support.
Clients will improve social, relational and professional interactions. Clients are free to express themselves mindfully and reflect intentionally about challenging behavior and racing thoughts. I will always provide compassionate non-judgmental, and ethical care.
If you've spent years taking care of everyone else, questioning yourself, struggling with boundaries, or repeating painful relationship patterns, I want you to know: you're not alone, and these patterns make sense once we understand where they came from.
I'm a warm, relational therapist who works alongside you — not just for you. Together, we'll trace the roots of what's keeping you stuck, whether that's family-of-origin patterns, attachment wounds, or the long reach of addiction in your family. My goal is to help you feel more connected to yourself, trust your own voice, and build the kind of relationships — with others and with yourself — that actually feel good.
If you are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in patterns of trauma, or exhausted by PTSD, healing is within reach. I am a compassionate psychiatrist whose practice is informed by a social-work lens. This means I look at the big picture—how social, environmental, and biological factors impact your mental health. My goal is to guide you from a place of survival to thriving. I provide careful diagnostic assessments and tailored treatment plans that respect your preferences, helping you safely process the past and reclaim control over your future wellbeing.
