Hello! I'm Mary Harris, LPC. I work with people who are dealing with depression, chronic illness, grief & loss, life transitions, and LGBTQ-related issues. I received my M.Ed in Counseling from the University of North Texas in 2008, and a graduate certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders from Arizona State University in 2019. I live in North Texas with my daughter, my spouse, and two adorable parakeets.
Taking the first step toward healing is a courageous act, and I’m here to support you on this journey. Whether you’re navigating challenges like depression, anxiety, substance use, relationship difficulties, or life stress, I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore your needs. Together, we’ll identify your goals and work toward building the clarity, confidence, and balance you deserve.
My approach is person-centered, focusing on you, the client, and the moment-to-moment engagement, discovering insights together. I can help you discover insights into barriers, and the constructive solutions to overcoming those barriers. Each person has the right to live a life free of negative thoughts and experiences—a life of healthy well-being.
As a licensed professional counselor, I am here to explore what you are struggling with and explore ways to overcome life's difficulties, whatever they may be. I have acquired over 10 years of experience supporting children, teens, adolescents, and families through life's challenges. I have helped professionals and caregivers, through life's challenges, burn out, and the discovery of self-care. I have worked in education, research, correctional system, hospitals, and private practice.
